The sheet reads what it is sent. A notice from a small kennel, a correction to something printed, a photograph of a dog at work below ground: the office desk is open to all three.

What the office prints

Litter notices and show results are printed as they arrive, in the order they arrive, under the Notices column. A correction is printed at the same size as the thing it corrects, with its own date. The office does not print advertisements, stud cards or price lists; a notice that reads like one is returned.

What a notice needs

A date, a place, the names that can be checked, and the facts in the order they happened. For a litter: the parents, the date whelped, the number, and the registration the puppies will carry. For a result: the show, the class, the judge and the placing. The office prefers the Swedish habit of letting the critique travel with the result; a judge's words in the original are always welcome.

How to reach the desk

Letters to the office go through the sheet's own address: the desk reads mail sent to the domain, care of the editor, and answers in the order received. Notices that belong to a named column should say so on the envelope, real or electronic; it saves the desk a sorting and the sender a week.
